Subject: Invitation to Opening Energy Horizons Event, Brussels, 22-23 May

Dear Energy and Society Helix Members,

We are pleased to announce that Vision2020 and Cardiff University will host an Opening Energy Horizons Event on May 22-23 in Brussels, Belgium.

The main purpose of this two-day event is to bring together academics, researchers and colleagues from business and industry working in the Energy field, to form new collaborations across the whole sector in readiness for the forthcoming Horizon 2020 Energy Work Programme (2018 – 2020).

On Day 1 representatives from the European Commission, industry and academia will discuss the significance and importance of integrating SSH in energy-related research, and showcase examples of best practice in existing Horizon 2020 funded Energy projects. This is why we are also keen to welcome representatives from the Social Sciences and Humanities communities.
On Day 2 the focus will move to the four proposed Call Topics in the 2018 – 2020 Scoping Paper, to identify common areas of interest and support emerging collaborations.

For further information on the agenda and for registration please follow this link.

We look forward to seeing you at the event,

Alexia
