Scientific, research, and professional activities are primarily focused on the fields of the green transition, smart grids, and compensation devices.

For transmission and distribution system operators, as well as large industrial consumers, we conduct studies in network planning, integration of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles, and the control of advanced compensation devices in transmission and distribution networks. Through participation in European projects, the laboratory’s researchers have developed strong international collaborations.

In addition to scientific excellence, the laboratory’s core vision is the transfer of solutions into practice and active support for the technological development of the Slovenian power sector.
