Subject description
Prerequisits:
- Enrollment in the study year.
Content (Syllabus outline):
- Introduction and basic definitions.
- A brief historical overview of e-business.
- Systematic view of e-business through the analysis of generic structures (external and internal logistics chain and the impact on their decision-making behavior).
- Technological aspects (EDI, XML, web services, component architecture, digital payment systems, new trends such as. RFID systems).
- Organizational aspects (evolution of business functions and processes, evolution of information systems, new business models, auditing procedures COBIT and ISO 27000).
- Legislative aspects (in particular Electronic Commerce, Electronic Commerce-A, and ZEKom).
- Specific aspects of the design and deployment of e-business (changes in the strategic planning of IS, the use of formal methods such as the language of Z, compliance with standards such as Common Criteria).
Objectives and competences:
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the technological and organizational concepts brought about by electronic commerce and the latest trends in this area.
Intended learning outcomes:
Understanding the concepts of electronic commerce and the integration with the knowledge gained through other study courses from technical and organizational areas.
Learning and teaching methods:
Lectures and exercises with project work (practical prototype implementation), individual presentations.
