Prerequisits:

  • Prerequisite for approaching to written/oral exam are completed laboratory practices.

  • Inovations and related terms
  • Type of Intellectual property
  • Intellectual property office (Slovenian, European, World)
  • Copyright law
  • Industrial property (patent, industrial design, trademark, geographical indication)
  • Topographies of integrated circuits
  • Innovations and EU research projects

Objectives and competences:

Objective of the course is learning of basics in inovation process, ways of protecting intelectual properties (industrial property, copyright), economic and lawful aspects of intelectual property rights (what, where, when, how), achieving and managing research&development projects, which results could be protected from the aspect of intelectual property.

Intended learning outcomes:

Understanding of basic terms stated in the description of the course, understanding of importance of protection of intellectual property (industrial property and copyright) for strengthening of competitiveness, importance of innovations in EU R&D projects
