Month of Electrical Engineering+ 2026: a month of networking, new knowledge and career opportunities

Publication date: 24. 4. 2026

At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana, we successfully organized the Month of Electrical Engineering+ between 23 March and 24 April 2026, which once again confirmed its role as a central event connecting students, academia and industry.

Karierni sejem.

Over the course of almost a month, a diverse programme took place, combining thematic days, professional content and career-related activities, with a strong emphasis on direct interaction between students and industry. The events gave students insight into current technological trends and development challenges, while various demonstrations also presented concrete practical solutions.

A strong focus on cooperation with industry

Particular emphasis was placed on the career fair, which took place throughout April and enabled students to connect directly with company representatives. This year, as many as 49 companies and organizations participated, confirming the strong interest of industry in cooperating with the faculty and connecting with future engineers. Students had the opportunity to learn about working environments, projects and opportunities for internships, student work and employment.

Thematic days dedicated to fields such as robotics, biomedical engineering, information and communication technologies, cybersecurity, electronics, power engineering, automation, artificial intelligence and metrology further deepened the understanding of individual professional areas and highlighted the broad scope of electrical engineering+.

Programme novelties and looking ahead

This year, the programme was also upgraded with a new format called Professional Environment 360, which enabled students to visit companies and gain direct insight into working environments. In this way, we further strengthened the connection between studies and practice and gave students a more comprehensive understanding of their future careers.

The programme was complemented by numerous accompanying activities that created opportunities for informal networking, exchange of ideas and strengthening connections between students, researchers and industry representatives.

The Month of Electrical Engineering+ therefore remains an important platform for building bridges between knowledge and practice, bringing together future engineers and companies that co-create technological development.
