Department ofMechatronics
Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary technical field that combines executive mechanical elements with electronics and computer control. The Department of Mechatronics covers the following scientific, research, and didactic areas:
- Control engineering
- Electrical machines
- Electromotor drives
- Sensors and actuators
- Industrial and power electronics
- Microprocessor technology
- Programmable controllers
- Mechanics and materials
- Fuel cells
Courses in these areas are included in the old university study program as well as the updated (Bologna) program for both levels. The same applies to the higher professional study program under both the old and new curricula.
The Department of Mechatronics strives for the intensive introduction of these fields into production practice and continuously collaborates closely on specific industrial projects.
