Laboratory of ImagingTechnologies

Laboratory of Imaging Technologies (LST) conducts research and education in the field of medical imaging technologies, with an emphasis on computer-aided procedures for automatic multi-modal alignment, reconstruction, segmentation and quantitative analysis of a variety of medical images, and in the field of optical systems, with an emphasis on the development of optical methods and models of light propagation for determining the optical properties of scattering substances with optical fiber probes, imaging in the spatial frequency domain, hyperspectral imaging and digital holographic microscopy.

• We plan and develop computer-supported procedures for processing, analyzing and understanding images based on modern approaches.
• We carry out study subjects at all levels of study and mentor diploma, master’s and doctoral theses.
• The results of our research are published in high-quality scientific journals and presented at established international conferences.
• The effects of our work can be seen through the acquisition of national, European and industrial projects, cooperation with companies and the establishment of companies.
