VodovnikAwards
Since 2005, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering has been awarding the Vodovnik Awards, with a maximum of one award per year for outstanding achievements over the last four years and one prize per year to a PhD student for a doctoral thesis successfully defended over the last three years.
The award is named after academician Prof. Dr. Lojze Vodovnik, a full member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Professor Emeritus at the University of Ljubljana, founder of the Slovenian Society for Medical and Biological Engineering, and founder and long-time head of the Laboratory of Biocybernetics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
