Prior to the start of the Winter School, an online meeting (via MS Teams or Zoom) will be held one week in advance, and participation is mandatory for all international attendees. The meeting will be recorded and will include a detailed overview of the PV&EC Winter School, information on travel to Ljubljana, accommodation arrangements, the daily schedule, content of lectures, the excursion, and the final exam. The final exam is a requirement for obtaining 3 ECTS credits.
The PV&EC Winter School particularly encourages students who are members of local energy communities at partner universities involved in the AURORA Project (https://www.aurora-h2020.eu). However, all other students from AU, UEVORA, and UPM are also welcome to apply.
Participants will receive funding in advance to cover the costs of travel, food, and accommodation. Students will be informed about the funding arrangements and procedures for apply in the programme by their respective International (Erasmus) Office at AU, UEVORA, and UPM.
The host institution, University of Ljubljana, will assist students in finding affordable accommodation and meals.
The Energy Communities (EC) programme is interdisciplinary, encompassing both social and natural sciences, whereas the Photovoltaics (PV) programme has a stronger focus on technical subjects. Therefore, the PV&EC Winter School is particularly well-suited for students from technical disciplines.
