Military operations

Subject description

  1. historical development of warfare and military sciences;
  2. war, military operations, armed conflicts;
  3. warfighting environments,
  4. the doctrines of the land, air and naval forces and the principles of operation of the joint tactical unit
  5. land warfare; the concept of combat operations of platoon, troops, battalions, independently and within a unit of the joint tactical level;
  6. military capabilities and armament systems

Objectives and competences

The students learn abstract thinking and gain knowledge to solve tactical tasks in combat and non-combat operations, and to critically evaluate and plan the use of military capabilities and armamnent systems.

The exercises are carried out according to plan:

40h: Lab. computer (10 students / group).

Expected study results

Upon successful completion of the course, students will know:

  • to explain basic ideas and concepts from the contents of basic military sciences (tactics, military geography, military technologies) and the development of military practice,
  • analyze and evaluate the operating environment of military units;
  • analyze military capabilities and armament systems;
  • use combat modelling methods at the tactical level;
