Objectives and competences

To acquire fundamental and contemporary knowledge about reliability and maintainability. To learn about the methods for reliability prediction of components and systems. To transfer theoretical knowledge of reliability and maintainability to real engineering world starting with components up to complex systems including software.

Teaching and learning methods

lectures, auditory practice, laboratory assignments, work at home/homeworks

Expected study results

After successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

– understand contemporary reliability science and engineering

– comprehend methods of reliability prediction on the level of components up to complex systems.
