Objectives and competences

Course objective is to gain comprehensive and in-depth knowledge about data collection in official statistics.

Competences:

  • Knowledge of and critical evaluation of individual data collection methods in official statistics.

  • Knowledge of scientific foundations of data collection in official statistics.

  • Capabilities for designing new research in the field of data collection in official statistics.

  • Strategic thinking about the importance of individual data collection methods in official statistics.

Expected study results

The student will become familiar with different methods and specifics of data collection in official statistics and will be able to independently perform scientific research in this field.
