Subject description
- Sampling at process control and acceptance sampling (sampling plan, types of sampling plans, lot formation).
- Basic concepts of statistical process control.
- Process variability.
- Basic properties and selection of control charts.
- Different types of control charts (-chart, p– chart, np– chart, c– chart, u– chart,…).
- Process problem solving and improvement.
- Automated process control.
- International standards.
The subject is taught in programs
Objectives and competences
Students will become familiar with basic concepts of statistical process control in technical engineering. This knowledge will
be applied in seminar work on a practical problem.
Teaching and learning methods
Lectures, seminar work, consultations.
Group analysis, interpretation and solving of statistical problems.
Expected study results
Knowledge and understanding:
Students will learn about basic concepts of statistical process control and they will get in depth understanding of them. They will be able to choose an appropriate type of control chart with appropriate control limits. They will know how to interpret obtained results of statistical analysis.
