Room acoustics and psycoacoustics

Subject description

Introduction to room acoustics: the sound sources concept, the sound propagation concept and methods to obtain acoustic parameters.

Introduction to psycoacoustics: the ear-brain system concept, sound spatial perception, the sound simulations concept, acoustical parameters use.

Electroacoustic media, devices and systems: historical and technological review, acoustic masking, signal processing for auralization, sound simulation in virtual and real spaces, 3D sound reproduction and virtual reality systems.

Electroacoustic services, interactive use of acoustic parameters for live events, acoustic parameters displaying devices.
