Laboratory for IntegratedCircuit Design
In the Laboratory for Integrated Circuits Design, their primary research activities are the design of digital circuits, development of electronic devices with FPGA circuits and with programmable systems on a chip. The emphasis is on the use of programmable circuits and systems for hardware implementation of algorithms, especially in the field of signal processing: sound, image and measurement data.
They are developing algorithms and tools for designing digital circuits: logic synthesis, optimization, fault modeling, algorithms for fault simulation and automatic test pattern generation, and improving the teaching of digital circuit modeling with high-level languages. They have developed computer tools for the design and analysis of circuits that complement industrial ones and enable effective use in the educational process. In the laboratory, they have modern software for designing digital circuits and systems.
They are active in mentoring students in their final assignments at all three levels of study. Mainly, the topic of master’s and doctoral theses is in cooperation with the industrial sector.
