Electronics is certainly one of the most promising branches of science, technology and business today, both in the world and in this country. Today, there is practically no product or device that does not have at least one electronic component: from the simple microcontrollers found in consumer products to the complex systems for signal acquisition and processing, management, guidance and control found in modern vehicles, aircraft, homes, buildings, etc.

Katedra deluje na naslednijh področjih: elektronske komponente in materiali, zasnova in izvedba elektronskih vezij, sistemov in naprav, gradnja in uporaba mikroprocesorskih sistemov, načrtovanje digitalnih in analognih integriranih vezij v najnovejših mikro in nanotehnologijah, senzorji in mikrosenzorske strukture, sončne celice in optoelektronske strukture.

The Department of Electronics is responsible for the implementation of the Electronics degree, where students can expect a pleasant environment, interesting and high-quality lectures, and state-of-the-art laboratories for practical work and further education.
