Pre-enrolment in the Subsidised Student Meal System for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

Students can complete pre-enrolment for subsidised student meals for the new academic year at selected registration points as early as September. The Student Organisation of Slovenia recommends completing the process as soon as possible to avoid queues and crowds.

Pre-enrolment available from September

From September onwards, selected subsidised student meal (SŠP) registration points will offer pre-enrolment for the 2026/2027 academic year. Students who have already completed their enrolment at an educational institution are advised to complete the SŠP pre-enrolment process as soon as possible.

During the pre-enrolment period, SŠP registration points will be available not only in university cities but also at selected student clubs across Slovenia. Information on locations and opening hours is available at www.studentska-prehrana.si under the Točke SŠP section.

First-time registration and automatic renewal

Students registering for the subsidised student meal system for the first time can find information about the registration procedure on the student meals website in the frequently asked questions section.

Students who are already registered in the SŠP system will have their eligibility for subsidised student meals for the 2026/2027 academic year renewed automatically. The Student Organisation of Slovenia (ŠOS) has also prepared information on pre-enrolment in English for international students.

Important information for international students

For international students, there may be a delay of several days in the synchronisation of data between the Central Population Register, the eVŠ or CEUVIZ records, and the subsidised student meal system.

As a result, international students may not be able to activate their subsidised meal entitlement immediately after enrolling at the faculty. We recommend completing the process a day or two after enrolment, when the data will normally have been successfully transferred between the relevant systems. This can help avoid repeated visits to activation points and other inconveniences.
