Laboratory of Imaging Technologies
The Laboratory of Imaging Technologies conducts research and education in the field of medical imaging technologies, with an emphasis on computer-supported methods for automatic multimodal registration, reconstruction, segmentation, and quantitative analysis of various types of medical images. The laboratory also works in the field of optical systems, focusing on the development of optical methods and light propagation models for determining the optical properties of scattering media using optical fiber probes, spatial frequency domain imaging, hyperspectral imaging, and digital holographic microscopy.
We design and develop computer-supported procedures for image processing, analysis, and understanding based on modern approaches.
We conduct courses at all levels of study and supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses.
The results of our research are published in high-quality scientific journals and presented at established international conferences.
The impact of our work is reflected in the acquisition of national, European, and industrial projects, cooperation with companies, and the establishment of spin-off companies.
