Laboratory of Information Technologies
About the Laboratory
The educational work of the Laboratory of Information Technologies (LAIT) at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels includes courses in the field of information and communication technologies, covering transmission and digital signal processing, information systems, communication protocols, security of information and communication systems, sensor systems, network and web technologies, and human–machine interaction.
Our scientific research and professional work primarily focuses on human–machine interaction in vehicles and the biomechanical feedback loop in sports and rehabilitation. The first area includes research and projects related to the development, implementation, and evaluation of new user interfaces in vehicles with different levels of automation, as well as the assessment of driving abilities, driver behavior, and driver state using various biometric sensors. The second area deals with the use of different wearable sensors for faster learning and improvement of motor skills, as well as for avoiding and preventing injuries in sports and rehabilitation.
