About the Laboratory

At the Laboratory for Integrated Circuit Design, work focuses on the design of digital circuits, the development of electronic devices using FPGA circuits, and programmable systems on chip. The emphasis is on the use of programmable circuits and systems for the hardware implementation of algorithms, mainly in the field of signal processing: audio, image, and measurement data.

The laboratory is engaged in the development of algorithms and tools for digital circuit design, including logic synthesis, optimization, fault modeling, fault simulation algorithms, and test pattern generation. They study methods for improving the teaching of digital circuit modeling using high-level languages. They have developed computer tools for circuit design and analysis that complement industrial tools and enable efficient use in the educational process. The laboratory is equipped with modern software for the design of digital circuits and systems.

They are active in mentoring students in their final theses at all three levels of study. The topics of master’s and doctoral theses are mainly carried out in cooperation with industry.
