Accessibility Statement

This Accessibility Statement applies to the website www.fe.uni-lj.si, which is managed by the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

The website follows the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 guidelines at conformance level AA.

Description of accessible content

• The website allows content to be viewed with contrast levels that comply with the WCAG AA standard.
• The website includes a sitemap, which is highlighted in the top navigation.
• The website provides a skip-to-main-content function.
• The website has a clear and consistent structure and navigation.
• The website can be operated using a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on the selected link.
• Alternative text can be added to all image content.
• The website uses clearly identifiable links.
• With minor exceptions, the website is optimised for screen readers.

Inaccessible content

We continuously monitor the accessibility of the website and regularly improve individual accessibility elements. Nevertheless, some published content does not yet meet all accessibility requirements. Examples include:

• some older elements do not have optimal alternative text entered retrospectively; newer elements will include alternative descriptions;
• various complex data tables, where the structure of tables and headings is not always optimal;
• scanned documents in PDF format, such as signed internal acts of the institution, annual reports, etc.;
• the organisational chart;
• multimedia content, for example video content without subtitles (accessibility adjustments are not mandatory for multimedia content recorded before 23 September 2020);
• photographs on the website are decorative or serve only as a visual complement to textual content, meaning that all content can also be accessed without the use of photographs or their alternative text.
