NETKO award for the new UL FE website
Publication date: 27. 3. 2026The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana (UL FE) received 1st place in the category Best Website for Children and Youth at the NETKO Awards ceremony, held on Wednesday, 26 March. The award was given to the redesigned faculty website, developed in collaboration with the company ENKI.

The website redesign represents a continuation of the strategic development of the faculty’s digital presence. While the previous redesign primarily targeted prospective students, this time the goal was to improve the user experience for internal audiences and current students. Special emphasis was placed on optimizing navigation, menus, content structure, the display of news, calendars and events, as well as refreshing the visual identity and typography in line with the corporate design of the University of Ljubljana.
The award was received by Rok Žurbi, MSc (ICT Sector), Edin Kojić (Communication Office) and Anže Šestovič (ENKI agency).
A key role in the redesign was played by user behaviour analysis using the Hotjar tool. Through heatmap analysis, session recordings and collected feedback, key points of the user journey, common friction points and user needs were identified. Based on these insights, a new, more intuitive website structure was designed, guiding users more efficiently to the information they are looking for, such as calls, contacts or course catalogues.
