Fundamentals of MPLS. Advanced services and VPN. MetroEthernet. Network planning. 5G technology and verticals. Introduction to services and applications. Web applications. Cloud. Security. Blockchains. Satellite navigation.
Objectives
The objective of the course is to provide an advanced insight into concepts, architectures and protocols in modern telecommunication systems. The focus is on advanced network protocols mechanisms, and service models. Students will acquire fundamental knowledge and skills in these fields.
Teaching and learning methods
Lectures for theoretical aspects, laboratory exercises and team work for real-case scenarios and problem solving through project work. Part of the pedagogical process will be carried out with the help of ICT technologies and the possiblities they offer. Study visits and invited lecturers.
