Anže Urankar wins his fifth world title

Anže Urankar, a student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana, made history at the ICF Wildwater Canoeing Sprint World Championships in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At this prestigious competition, he claimed his fourth consecutive and fifth career world title in wildwater sprint canoeing.

In the final, Anže Urankar defeated Czech paddler Vojtech Matejiček. The Slovenian kayakers also celebrated success in the team event, where Anže Urankar, Nejc Žnidarčič and Simon Oven secured Slovenia’s fourth consecutive team world title, bringing their total to ten world championship gold medals.
