Alpine Changemaker Basecamp

Date of publication: 6.5.2022

CIPRA International is organising the second Alpine Changemaker Basecamp this year, open to all young people who have an idea and a desire for new perspectives for a good life in the Alps. The Alpine Changemaker Basecamp is a great opportunity for committed individuals aged 18 to 30 to put their own ideas and projects for social change and sustainable development in the Alpine region into practice.

The camp will be divided into several strands: guided groups, where participants will contribute with their suggestions and experiences; independent work; working groups, where communication is on a one-to-one basis, giving feedback and sharing reflections; various events; and joint tasks.

An international team of mentors - experts from different scientific research fields such as architecture, anthropology and environmental sciences, entrepreneurship, handicrafts, regional development, philosophy and the arts - will accompany the participants in bringing their ideas to life. Experts will enable them to use different tools and introduce them to different ways of thinking and new perspectives in order to facilitate the implementation of their projects.

After the camp, a mentoring programme will help participants to implement their projects for a year, and they will have the opportunity to present their projects at an international forum and even try their hand at mentoring the next generation of Alpine changemakers.

More information is available on their website (including FAQ, podcast, impressions of last year's participants): https://www.cipra.org/sl/cipra/international/projekti/tekoci-projekti/alpine-changemaker-network/alpine-changemaker-basecamp

Applications are open until 15 May.
