Laboratory of Fundamentals of Electrical Engineeringand Electromagnetics

The laboratory combines teaching and research activities in the field of basic electrical engineering and electromagnetics in the context of the courses of the same name at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bologna levels.

At the 1st cycle level, the focus is on the development, production and set-up of laboratory tutorials and experiments, the production of videos, textbooks, tutorials and a system to automate the written assessment process. The second level focuses on numerical methods in electromagnetics and on introducing students to solving engineering problems in the field of electromagnetic fields, including theoretical, mathematical, numerical, programming and analytical parts. At cycle 3 level, students work on problems, often of an interdisciplinary nature, which are related to electromagnetic fields.

Research topics include the application of numerical methods in electromagnetics, induction heating problems, electromagnetic compatibility assessment, evaluation of electromagnetic fields in the environment of devices and machines, electromagnetic field representation and analysis, and synthesis of electromagnetic applications.
