Hiking trip to the Crimea, 26 November 2022

Access to the starting point:

Take the southern Ljubljana bypass and take the exit Ig. Follow the road towards Ig at the junctions (you can also get there from Podpeč or Škofljica). At the junction at Ig, turn right towards the village of Iška, and then continue towards the village of Vrbljene in the village of Staje. In Vrbljene, turn left (past the hippodrome) towards Strahomer, and park there in the asphalted parking lot by the Iska River.

Meeting point: 7.45 a.m. at the car park in Strahomer, start of the walk at 8.00 a.m.

From the car park in Strahomer, follow the signposted path through Srmec or through Kramarica. We will choose one route for the ascent and the other for the descent. Most of the trail goes through the forest and along tracks all the way to the car park below the top of Krima. From here, continue along the scenic route to the summit (first link to the route description, second link to the route description).

Duration: approx. 3 hours and 50 minutes (798 m elevation gain), approx. 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Equipment: hiking boots (gore-tex), clothing suitable for the weather forecast. Hiking poles and energy drinks are recommended.
