Lecture on Psychological resilience with Sara Isaković

Are you familiar with the term psychological resilience? Do you want to know how to increase your performance, focus, motivation and self-confidence? Join Sara Isaković for a lecture on psychological resilience.

In this lecture she will introduce the topic in a relaxed way and leave us with the question: 'Do we realise that the difference between a winner and a loser is in our mind?' We will highlight the importance of the mind in everyday life and in coping with stress. We will discuss how mindfulness training triggers psychological resilience: how it activates emotional stability, self-control, focus, motivation and self-confidence, and how to start it.

You will learn:

• How is our brain wired and why does stress overwhelm us so quickly?
• What happens when the centre of awareness in the brain is activated? How does it affect brain function and our physical well-being?
• How to start awareness training (awareness of breath, thoughts and emotions)

Contractor

Sara Isaković, former top athlete, Slovenia's most successful swimmer, Olympic silver medallist, will take us into psychological resilience. After graduating from Berkeley University and obtaining her Master's degree in San Diego, she works in the field of performance psychology (psychology of optimal performance), working with top athletes, musicians, pilots and businessmen to help them perform optimally in stressful situations.
