EESTEC Olympics 2.0
Date of publication: 11.12.2023 Start date: 13.12.2023 Start time: 09:00 Location: Faculty of Electrical Engineering, ULThe EESTEC Association, in cooperation with the Student Energy Club (SEC), is once again organising the one-day EESTEC Olympics 2.0 competition.
This year, the challenge topics were prepared by the main sponsor of the competition, HSE (Holding Slovenije elektrarne) and the laboratories of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering(LPVO-Laboratory for Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics, LEST-Laboratory for Energy Strategies, LEON-Laboratory for Electrical Networks and Devices).
Contestants will try to solve 3 challenges and compete for rich prizes.
Slovenia's green energy transition will be a difficult task, but one that ambitious young students see as a challenge, not a problem. The laboratories that solve similar problems on a daily basis are also aware of this.
This year, they have prepared challenges on different themes, including:
- Impact of the new tariff system
- Mobility and charging of electric vehicles
- Supplying Slovenia with electricity from renewable energy sources
Competitors will try to find the best strategy and the best out of the box idea.
They will gain new knowledge, experience and new acquaintances.
The contestants will compete on Wednesday, 13 December 2023. On Thursday, 14 December 2023 at 13:00 , everyone is cordially invited to the presentation of the solutions and the award ceremony.
