How much noise can you make?

In the Noisemeter workshop, we will learn about sound, sound perception and make a homemade noise meter. The device will be mounted in a poster with an LED strip to show the sound volume in the room. We will test the device in a silent room, a room without sound. There we will learn about loudspeakers and microphones. We will calibrate the noise meter so that when the workshop participants take it home (or to school), it will accurately measure the sound volume.

Age limit: 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th year of primary school, 1st year of secondary school

Required: no prior knowledge required
