Smart cars

Developing the electronics and software for an autonomous vehicle.

  • embedded systems,
  • autonomous vehicle.

At the workshop Smart cars we will learn the basics of electrical engineering, electronics and embedded systems. We will learn the correct way to connect external units and sensors to the microcontroller system to ensure reliable operation and to protect the microcontroller and components from overloading. We will apply the knowledge we have gained to modify a car model, first removing unnecessary components. We will design and install a new circuit to control the steering and the driving speed. We will add sensors and write a simple microcontroller program that will allow the car to operate partially autonomously.
