A knight withoutsteering wheel
A knight without a steering wheel
Artificial intelligence in autonomous vehicles.
- Speech recognition and production,
- machine vision,
- intelligent systems,
- autonomous mobile systems,
- Automation and cybernetics.
In the future, we may not see any more vehicles with a driver behind the wheel, as we expect that the development of innovative technologies will make it possible to build vehicles that can drive themselves in all conditions.
At the workshop A knight without a steering wheel We will learn about the different technologies that are embedded in modern autonomous mobile systems. We will convert a robotic vacuum cleaner into an intelligent autonomous mobile system, equipped with a camera and a Raspberry Pi embedded system. We will add to the mobile robot the ability to communicate verbally with a human, to sense the environment with machine vision, to navigate autonomously in space by avoiding obstacles and to be controlled via a virtual interface. We will also learn about the Linux operating system, basic approaches to computer recognition of speech commands and artificial speech generation, machine vision and the basics of closed-loop control.
