Prof. Dr. Boštjan Blažič graduated in 2000, obtained his MSc in 2003 and PhD in 2005 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana, where he is a professor. In 2013, he was a guest lecturer at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. His research work is in the field of power system operation, with a particular focus on renewable energy and green transition, concepts of power grid planning and management, and mathematical analysis of the operation of compensation devices in the power system.

Matevž Bokal je diplomiral leta 2011 in doktoriral leta 2024 na Fakulteti za elektrotehniko Univerze v Ljubljani. Od leta 2016 je zaposlen v Laboratoriju za električna omrežja in naprave kot raziskovalec s področja preizkušanja naprav v zanki (Hardware-in-the-Loop) z uporabo digitalnih simulatorjev v realnem času. Tema njegovega raziskovanja so preučevanje stabilnosti digitalnih simulacij in diferencialne enačbe z zakasnitvijo.

Prof. Dr. Marko Čepin graduated in 1992, obtained his Master's degree in 1995 and PhD in 1999 at the University of Ljubljana. From 1992 to 2009 he worked at the Jožef Stefan Institute. In 2001 he was a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Since 2009 he has been teaching at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, where he became professor in 2020. He was  the president of the Association of Nuclear Experts of Slovenia (2010-2014, 2014-2018) and the president of the European Safety and Reliability Association (2018-2020). His research interests include energetics, power plants, renewable energy and power system reliability.

Janja Dolenc received her Master's degree in 2018 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Boštjan Blažič. Since February 2016, she has been working as a student at LEON in the field of real-time simulations. Her master thesis deals with algorithms for connecting two real-time simulators in order to test the integration of FACTS devices in large networks.

She joined LEON in September 2018 and her primary research area is harmonic analysis. She is also a PhD student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.

Leopold Herman, BA in Electrical Engineering, graduated in 2008 and received his PhD in 2014 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. He is currently working at the same faculty as a researcher in the Electrical Networks and Devices Laboratory. His research work is in the field of power quality.

Marjan Ilkovski received his master's degree in 2019 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Boštjan Blažič. Since February 2017, he has been working at LEON as a student in the field of smart grids within the Slovenian-Japanese NEDO project. His masters thesis deals with load prediction algorithms for HV/LV transformers feeding grids with a large share of solar power plants. He has been working at LEON as a researcher since April 2019 and his primary research focuses on smart grids.

Klemen Knez graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana in 2020. Since January 2020, he has been working as a student at LEON in the field of smart grids, working on various industrial and European projects, such as the Smart Grid simulation platform. He also participated in the development of the National Smart Grid Programme (NPPO), where simulations with different smart grid solutions were carried out on reference models.

Jure Lokar completed his bachleor's degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana in 2018 and his master's degree at the same faculty in 2021. His master's thesis focused on the use of modal analysis to limit harmonic resonance phenomena in power grids.

He joined the Power Grids and Devices Laboratory as a student in 2019 and has been working as a researcher in the laboratory since 2021, where he works on power quality and industrial projects, including Capacitive Power Management in the Distribution Network and NEDO Flex.
